Wærenskjold wins fastest ever Tour de France

Søren Wærenskjold secured a historic victory by winning the fastest stage in Tour de France history, averaging a record-breaking speed during a mass sprint finish in Nevers. 

Riding for Uno-X Mobility, the Norwegian power-sprinter finished the 161.3-kilometer Stage11 in 3 hours, 10 minutes and 6 seconds. 

At an average speed of 50.91kph, it is the fastest ever in all the editions of the Tour.
